How does your dream Winter smell like?
Mine smells like Penhaligon’s Malabah a Woody Oriental scent, light, sensual, mature and complex which in my opinion emulates a warm and misterious oriental night… A warm exotic dream, which unfolds its sensorial secrets inside a cozy room with a lit fireplace and a crispy weather outside.
Malabah is an Eau de Parfum inspired by an imaginary journey along the East Indian Spice Route. Warm, exotic and sensuous, it’s not your usual overpovering Oriental spicy scent, even if the Base Notes are made of Sweet Amber, Sandalwood and Sweet Musk.
Naturally oriental, the elegant Introductory Notes of Citrus, Green Coriander and Smoky Earl Grey Tea slowly fade away leaving space, politely – like an English gentleman, to Heart Notes made of subtle exotic Rose Blossoms and Orris, spiced up with Ginger, Nutmeg and Cardamom.
One of the most aromatic and explosive fragrances in the world, this perfume was created in 2003 to transport you to exotic climates where you can almost feel the warm air on your skin, hear the music in your ears, smell the spice markets, taste the food, hear the local people talk in a language you will never understand, yet you strangely know what they’re saying…
Malabah is without a doubt feminine – dry and warm, spicy and fresh at the same time… Paradoxal and complicated the way any woman should be!
I personally love it, especially later on the day when the base notes are the only ones to wrap up my frozen senses. It’s so warm and wonderful… Elegant… Feminine and fresh, but strong at the same time. And so… ME!
So, how does YOUR Winter smell like?
See you soon, beautiful!
If I’m in the mood for an even deeper, sultry scent, I simply take Malabah and layer it over my absolute favourite scent ever, Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Oud.
